The Educate ME Scholars Program

The Educate ME Scholars Program is an initiative to increase the pool of available teachers by providing financial assistance to high school students entering college. The scholarship is available to minority males and females who desire to major in education, have a passion for teaching, and will make a positive impact within the school system.

The Educate Me Foundation Scholarship was created to assist minority males and females in college who desire to major in education, have a passion for teaching, and will be a positive figure in the school system. The foundation will award 3 (three) $1,000.00 scholarships to students with a true interest in education. The scholars will have to submit a renewal application to continue to receive the scholarship.

The scholars will be required to attend a summer session and will be paired with a mentor to assist with guidance during their time in school.

Eligibility Requirements

  1. Applicant must be a graduating high school senior from the Metropolitan Nashville School District, or Local Indianapolis School District
  2. Applicant must be entering college in the year of graduation.
  3. Applicant must be attending an accredited 4-year college/university in the state of Tennessee.
  4. Applicant must have a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.0.
  5. Applicant must major in education for all four years of college.

Additional Information

Applicant will need to mail in an official high school transcript, as well as a letter of recommendation to this address.
